Keep lists of your progress daily. When you have completed these lists, don’t be so quick to throw them away. Just because the lists are complete does not mean that you are done with them. Try surrounding yourself with your progress by keeping them and displaying them. This can give you drive and let you know that you can accomplish your goals.
Research and learn from others. When you are working towards a goal in your life, seek out others who are either working towards or have already achieved your goal. Not only will they be able to provide support and answer questions, they can be used as examples illustrating exactly what you should or should not do to succeed.
On a daily basis, consider asking yourself each morning what is important for you to accomplish during the day. Remember that it is entirely acceptable to be less than perfect. Perfection leaves no room for learning or improvement, yet these are two of the things that can make life so exciting and enjoyable. Assess your imperfections to determine what their likely effects are on your life. More than likely, you will find that even your flaws shape who you are and how you live.
Prioritize your time. If you put off doing something that you really want to do or enjoy doing so that you can take care of something that could have waited, you could find yourself full of regret by the end of the week. This may take some time to really incorporate into your life, but you will be happy that you did.
Try to maintain a positive outlook. An upbeat attitude can do wonders for your mood. Just telling yourself that things will be alright can sometimes keep you feeling upbeat long enough to succeed in making that true.
One way you can instantly boost your mood or views on a troubling/stressful situation you may find yourself dealing with is to take a brisk walk. It can be around your block or further if you so choose. Exercise is an important part of keeping your mind and body active which will in turn, assist with your other personal developmental goals and aspirations.
