Need To Lose Weight? These Diet Tips Might Help You!

When beginning a new diet, make sure your goals are realistic. Just like with any other endeavor, setting unrealistic goals will only discourage you. Setting a very short time limit to lose a large amount of weight is setting yourself up to fail. Be wise, set a weekly goal that can be achieved.

If you break your long-term goal into small bits, you will have a better chance to succeed. Concentrate on your weight loss from week to week.

Opt for whipped butter. You may not want to eliminate butter. Many people love the taste of actual butter. However, it does not have to be completely eliminated when you are dieting. Simply use whipped butter instead. It has fifty percent less calories.

While sitting down, flatten your belly. The transversus abdominis is the muscle you want to concentrate on when you are trying to flatten your stomach. This muscle can be strengthened by sucking in your belly button as much as you can, and hold it in as you breathe.

A good tip to lose weight is by combining your meal with a form of exercise. Do you want to have a picnic? Pack your food in a lunch sack and bike over to a park. If you have time to plan meals and physical activity, you will be successful in losing weight.

A positive change you can make to help you lose weight is to add more vegetables and fruit to your diet. Be sure to try as many fruits and vegetables as you can. You could be introduced to new snacks that are enjoyable and healthy.

By incorporating different fruits in smoothies and in your cereal, you will increase your healthy food intake and improve your overall health. You can increase your intake of vegetables by eating healthy stews and soups.

It is important to eat at the same time each day. By being aware of when you will eat your next meal, you’re less likely to over-snack. You should try getting your snacking times on a schedule, as well. When you’re on a schedule, you are less likely to overeat.

If you want to shed pounds, consider using a goal for motivation. Motivate yourself with some jeans you want to wear. You should keep them in plain sight.

If you generally hang these in a closet you should put them in your kitchen since that’s where most people get their weight gain problems.

5 Steps To Starting A Weight Loss Exercise Plan

It does not matter about your age, gender or physical ability, there are many benefits of exercise. Regular exercise has both immediate and long-lasting effects but it easy to avoid. Often the effort to get started is just too much, and it’s easier to stay sitting on the couch wishing that you could lose weight and get fit rather than actually doing something about it. But you have to break the routine of inactivity. A human body at rest will stay at rest, and a human being in motion will stay in motion.

To get your weight loss exercise plan into action, here are 5 steps to follow to so you can start to live a happier, healthier and longer life.

1. Exercise In The Morning.

You will get more benefits with your weight loss exercise plan if you do your workout first thing in the morning. Exercising at this time of day has been proven to lead to better health patterns, improved day-long productivity and greater consistency to stick with it. It is very easy to make excuses about missing your workout session at the end of a long and busy day,. Whereas in the morning, you are fresh and can get your exercise done before you start your day.

2. Be Consistent.

Generally it takes about two and a half to three weeks to program your mind into habit forming actions, so you need to exercise regularly for 17 to 21 days. From that point one, which may be longer or shorter for some people, your exercise plan will become a routine. It will be a pre-programmed and an automatic activity in your weekly schedule.

3. Change Your Attitude To Exercise.

Medical Weed And Your Sinuses

My article is only my opinion, relying from my unique experience, and I’m not any kind of doctor; and cannot offer anyone any medical advice. I’m a judgment referral professional that write articles a lot. When you should have a medical problem or need any medical advice, contact a doctor.

Just the majority of folks, I had no idea how much medical grade pot could easily clean out my sinuses (one’s mileage will depend on your situation). If you’ve some nasal congestion issue, one may want to go to a pot doctor, and then legally purchase a type of medical medical grade pot that doesn’t get you high.

In my case; taking a puff of medical grade pot causes my sinus rinsing more than at least twice as efficient, and often a puff of medical pot removes one’s need to rinse my nose. My theory is, the pot gets far deeper inside my nasal areas, so they drain better. For me, a few puffs of weed and rinsing and gargling with lots of water, usually works much faster and better than nasal rinsing sessions. I remain sober, and to need for a rinse session for my nose more often than one time a evening) is going way. That is something I have found no other RX pill or spray can accomplish.

Here is what happened to me: I’ve an unusual medical situation, (partly physical, and partly subconscious mental) which in theory is because of absorbing too much stress for too many years. I get completely plugged up sinuses way too often. As my family tells me too often; for years I have earned insufficient income and currently have a bunch of of bills (both of these issues are destined to disappear).

Business is slow right now, mostly due to the economy. Because of revising my business to be less stressful, avoiding stupid and negative things when possible, staying productive, and moderate usage of legal medical grade pot, that doesn’t get me high in any way; I’m recovering quickly. Also, I am determined to remain happy and stay sober, even though I am not yet rich.

I have mediated for ten years, and can no longer really feel sadness, hate or depression, or be bothered by moronic entities or people. I now focus on my happiness and health, how I treat others, our company, my chores, and constantly improving the giant quality content on the web. However, my mind might be absorbing negativity (there’s a lot of it in our. I have a nasal defect, and may have a mental “generalized Somatoform disorder” that causes my sinuses to create nearly one hundred times more mucus than I need.

I had nearly lost every one of my my teeth, too much time rinsing my nose. I visited many physicians, and they all performed CT and MRI scans and many other tests, found nothing physically wrong; and then sent me to their shrink that prescribed Prozac to me. Prozac to help cure my nasal blockage issue seemed nuts, however I trusted my doctor. See my story at: Because of Prozac, I spent almost several weeks in several hospitals and lost 50 pounds. After I started to get better, my shrink later told me I was completely sane, and there wasn’t any need to see her again, or use any other medications; and reluctantly agreed with my plan for moderate usage of medical pot to clear my nasal areas.

I then went to a medical weed doctor, showed them my medical records, and told them I did not wish to get high, but I had to clear my nasal areas, and the physician recommended White Empress, an example of of the 50,000 or so strains of pot which would not make me high or impair me in any real way. Although every drug will have at least one side effect, weed seems far safer than 99% of other drugs.

I then went to some weed store. They sold me $10 of White Empress weed. Now I rinse my sinuses 1-2 times a day, and take an average of 4-6 puffs of White Empress a day. I remain sober, the side effects seem to be clean nasal areas, no more vomiting, no more pills and currently the only drugs I take are caffeine every AM, a few tokes of weed a day, and about 8 ounces of regular beer, and some melatonin tablet in the evening. (Beer helps me clear my sinuses, and I don’t get drunk).

My teeth are fixed now (however I must invest a lot of my time taking proper care of my teeth). I threw away every physician prescription given me and my condition is slowly improving. I no longer need sleeping mediations, because pot synergies well with with Melatonin and help me sleep soundly. I am curing myself for around twenty per month with medical grade weed and one good beer a night, and I remain sober, Thanks to God Thanks also to Medical weed being legal in California because weed, after many years of suffering this, it’s appearing to be curing me. Most doctors appear to be misinformed on weed. Most tell me medical pot can be really dangerous and some say I should go back to Prozac. I’d rather drink Drano!.

In my case, medical grade pot is safe, and keeps me healthy and sober. Medical grade weed “saved my life”, and allows me to work done well. My side effects seem to be a clean nasal areas, becoming relaxed, not impaired at all, like all my doctor’s medications did for me. If you have a medical problem, and your doctor prescribes you pills which create horrible side effects, why not consider medical pot? There are lots of varieties that do not make you inebriated, and may fix your problem you if nothing else will. What do you have to lose trying medical grade weed? Because of to my dental reconstructions, I need to spend many hours in the restroom, where using medical grade pot often means no nose rinses are required, and Google’s Play helps to make this procedure a party.

Nothing is perfect: medical Marijuana works so well for me, one evening I over-did it. I was not inebriated, so I had to clean out my sinus once again at night, to get rid of the amazing amount of loosened sinus mucus. So, just like any other type substance, take care not to forget moderation is the best policy. I took ten hits, and it loosened up more than 90 of my sinus congestion, and it didn’t make me inebriated, and I am working on my article. My smile comes from clean sinuses, not the White Empress medical weed. The side effects of overdoing pot (for me) was primarily an overly clear nasal areas, and being a bit sleepy.

Personal growth and development means carving out for yourself a life that is nurturing, fulfilling and whole, allowing your self-expression. Indeed, all these things are related to personal freedom, which I consider to be the only thing worth living for.

No matter what practices you undertake to achieve this; whether it’s through finding yourself a mentor, life-coach, guru, therapist or some course related… the outcome, the desired effects are basically the same. That is, there are a number of ‘common denominators’ or signs indicating you are in that ongoing state of personal growth and development.

Not an exhaustive list but here are 8 signs indicating you are achieving personal growth and development. Do you see yourself in any of these signs?

1. You’re in the world but not part of it

You find yourself more aware and have a greater panoramic view of the world than before. However, you get the idea that you’re in the world but not part of it. In short, you feel like you’re more in a detached ‘observer mode’ with regards to the circumstances surrounding.

2. You have a greater sense of purpose

Having a greater sense of purpose in life means that you are clearer than before about what goals to achieve and spend less time related to things that are the opposite, considered to be time wasting. You want to spend more time on developing skills, getting healthier… etc.

3. Splitting from old relationships and finding new ones

The ‘new you’ no longer wants to be with people consistent with the ‘old you.’ You want to find relationships supportive of your personal growth and development.

4. Greater feeling of responsibility

From having a greater understanding of how you can be ‘at cause’ in your life there comes a greater feeling of responsibility. For personal effectiveness, one of life’s golden statements is the saying ‘I am responsible.’

5. Always questioning

You find yourself questioning things more, not easily accepting the consensus of the masses or authority figures. If something comes up contrary to your gut feeling, findings or opinion you have to enquire… and don’t fall shy of expressing your views. You find that life is something to be lived as an enquiry, allowing you to gain more insight.

6. Have a stronger sense of identity

You realise that your individuality is your biggest strength and will speak up for yourself and act accordingly. However, appropriateness comes into play and your increased communication skills allow you to deal more effectively with situations than before, having a greater sense of acceptance for others at the same time.

7. Get more from the simpler or finer things in life

You have a greater realisation that having a good time doesn’t necessarily mean spending a lot of money. Your increased awareness allows you to appreciate the finer or simpler things in life. You see beauty in so many things surrounding such as that in nature or people…

8. Closer to God

People I’ve spoken to who have taught personal growth and development say that the enlightenment attained gets reported by many participants saying they find themselves closer to God. Indeed the report that they are closer to God is subject to much interpretation but there are common denominators: Some say that they have a stronger sense of what is love, whether it’s in relationships or unconditional. From this it is reported that enlightened individuals find themselves more caring.

7 Reasons Why You’re Finding It Hard To Lose Weight

If you can’t lose weight it can be very disheartening mainly because the solution is very basic. To lose weight you need to fuel your body with the correct foods, not overindulge, and let your physical activity burn up the fuel your body has been fed. So why do so many people have a lot of difficulty losing weight? The issue is often due to not changing your lifestyle to adapt to improved nutrition and fitness.

If you’re asking yourself “why can’t I lose weight?”, take a look at these 7 reasons to see if any apply to you.

1. Weight Loss Plans That Are Unrealistic.

You may have difficultly losing weight because you’ve been choosing weight loss plans that are unrealistic in terms of staying on them for longer than a few weeks or months. Who wants to live a life where certain foods are off limits and make you feel guilty if you have some? You will have trouble losing weight with these types of diets because you tend to do it for as long as you can stand it until you come to your breaking point and fall off the wagon.

The best exercise is not only about what actually works but also what you enjoy and can stick to. And you don’t have to spend hours each week at the gym. If you want to keep fit and lose weight there are loads of ways to exercise at home. Have some entertainment on hand to help brighten up and motivate your exercise routines. Try listening to an audio book or create a music playlist that is fast and high-energy and will keep your body moving.

5. You Don’t Think You Have Time For Exercise.

Not having the time to exercise if often an excuse for people you say they can’t lose weight. But you can burn calories by doing your regular household chores. Vacuuming, washing dishes, and doing laundry are all regular chores that burn fat. When you’re out, always take the stairs and get off one stop early if you’re using public transport.

6. You’re Trying To Do It By Yourself.

Another reason why some people have difficulty losing weight is that they try to do it on their own. A simple way to stay on track when it comes to weight loss is to have someone do it with you. Having a friend that is also eating healthier and exercising along with you can encourage you to keep going and you can motivate each other.

7. Constant Snacking.

If you can’t lose weight, are you constantly snacking? An easy way to lose weight is to have a cut-off time for eating. For example, you may want to stop eating anything after 8pm. Is The Law Of Attraction Real?

The Law of Attraction has been getting quite a bit of coverage lately. Interestingly, the concepts and practices have been around for hundreds of centuries and have been practiced by many of the very best minds (Einstein, Aristotle, and Beethoven). The truth is…we all use it- we just don’t know it. The premise is this: what you focus on is what you attract into your life.

The Law of Attraction- How does it work? The Law of Attraction works like this: you create your own reality. What you focus on, what you emote about, is what you draw into your life. What you believe will happen in your life is exactly what does happen. This isn’t as simple as it seems, however, or everyone would have the lives that they want naturally. For example, people who are in debt and continually tell themselves, “I need more money,” don’t find more money, they continue to “need more money” because that is the reality that they create.

School of Thought #1: Spiritual

Many people believe that the Law of Attraction works by aligning God or the Universe with our wishes. We are all made of energy, and our energy operates at different frequencies. We can change our frequency of energy with postive thoughts especially gratitude for what we already have. What we attract depends on where and how we focus our attention, but we must believe that it’s already ours, or soon will be.

School of Thought #2: Scientific

If you come from the camp that you need facts, there actually are quite a few that explain how the law of attraction works. By focusing on attaining a new reality, and by believing it is possible, we tend to take more risks, notice more opportunities, and open ourselves up to new possibilities. Conversely, when we don’t believe that something is in the realm of possibilities for us, we tend to let opportunities pass by unnoticed.

The Law of Attraction – Is there any proof?

It is pretty hard to prove all of this scientifically, however research does show that people displaying optimism have greater happiness, live longer, have more financial success and seem to have better health. These all certainly would be good indicators to at least give The Law of Attraction a real try.

Is “Bright-Sided” Critical Thinking?

I saw Barbara Ehrenreich, author of the book Bright-Sided, on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last week. Her book reveals “How the Relentless Promotion of Positive Thinking Has Undermined America.” I love Jon Stewart’s interviews and was keenly curious about this author and her book.

As I watched Ehrenreich on television, I got the feeling she’s a wounded soul. She talked about being diagnosed with cancer and how people around her told her to just think positive. I know from having my own cancer scare a few years ago that her feelings were justified. When you’ve been diagnosed with the C word, you’ve been kicked in the gut. Smiling people don’t help. I felt for her and agreed with her. Positive thinking in that dire situation isn’t welcome, at least not at first.

As I often do after seeing a Jon Stewart interview, I jumped on Amazon and ordered her book. I was so curious that I paid extra for next day delivery.

It’s a well written historical overview of positive thinking. It mentions all the positive thinkers you might guess, from Napoleon Hill to Joel Olsteen , Jack Canfield, Will Bowen, Bob Doyle, Rhonda Byrne; to the teachers in the movie The Secret, including me.

Turns out Ehrenreich heard me speak a few years ago at the National Speakers Association annual convention. There were more than 6,000 people there, so I never met her. But I apparently left an impression. She says in her book –

“Vitale, who looks like a slightly elongated version of Danny DeVito, offers the theme of ‘inspired marketing,’ and also love. ”

Inspired Marketing is the title of a book I wrote with Craig Perrine, and love is the core of everything I do.

But Ehrenreich didn’t say either fact.

She mentions I’m a disciple of P.T. Barnum in her book, too, but doesn’t explain that’s because I wrote a popular business book on him, titled There’s A Customer Born Every Minute.

For a journalist, she cleverly left off statements that would justify what I, and others she mentions in her book, stand for and teach.

The message of her book seems to be to use critical thinking, not positive thinking, in order to make a difference in your life and world. For her, positive thinking can be delusional, while critical thinking can give you a well-rounded view of your choices.

I agree with her.

The thing is, most people who say they are critical thinkers are actually skeptical thinkers. They quickly dismiss concepts without trying them, or demand scientific proof for concepts that are still being researched. That, to me, is delusional.

The most powerful books I’ve read on the subject of critical thinking are by Steve Siebold. His books are wake-up calls to your brain. Read his book 177 Mental Toughness Secrets of the World Class, or Die Fat or Get Tough, or read his forthcoming book on mental toughness secrets of the rich.

While I prefer positive thinking over negative thinking, I have to admit that positive thinkers can sometimes be blind to reality. When I had my cancer scare, I didn’t just think positive. I also took massive action. I searched for cures, I contacted all the healers and medical doctors I know, I tried every method offered to me, and I stayed persistent. The end result is a clean bill of health. But I didn’t get there by putting on a happy face and sitting in a corner.

Bright-Sided is a bestselling book and Ehrenreich is getting lots of publicity for it. While she ends the book with a call to be more critical in our thinking, and to take action to get results, I suspect it will mislead many readers. Too many will jump to the conclusion that positive thinking doesn’t work at all. They’ll use the book to justify not being optimistic, or not choosing to feel good. They’ll just keep on complaining.

My reminder to you is that you always have a choice: When confronted with any moment, you can look at it cheerfully, unhappily, or objectively. I prefer the latter but with a positive expectancy.

When I got the heath scare, I at first was walloped with the news. But then I set an intention to find a cure. I expected one because, as I say in my book The Attractor Factor, there’s always a way to handle any problem. My critical thinking — or maybe it’s better called objective thinking — included the possibility that positive action and positive expectation would be better than just unhappiness, happiness, or no action.

I appreciate critical thinking, but it’s subject to delusion, too. Most of the people I know who claim to be critical thinkers still have limiting beliefs and negative attitudes they aren’t even aware are in their own head. They are actually skeptical thinkers as a form of self-protection.

Combine all this with the Law of Attraction and you might see where critical/skeptical thinkers will find evidence for their beliefs, and positive thinkers will find evidence for their own beliefs. They’ll simply attract what they need to support their mindsets.

So how do you get out of this maze so you can have a clear-headed, productive life?

For me, the fastest thing that helps you get mentally clear is having the right coach. I know I’ve said it before but it needs said again: Every high achiever I know has a coach in their area of expertise. The coach can help them see their thinking patterns. The coach can help them stay accountable. The coach can help them achieve the results they want.

If having a coach is part of what Ehrenreich condemns as something that has “undermined America”, then I have to disagree with her. In fact, I’d go so far as to suggest she get a coach to help her unravel her own thinking about “Bright-Sided” being negative. It could also help her heal her psychic wounds.

But as she openly says, it’s “reckless optimism” that bothers her the most. With that in mind, I suggest she’s correct. You don’t want to be recklessly optimistic, but practically optimistic.

In other words, choose what you want, have an optimistic expectancy about the results, take action to attract it, and monitor your progress for feedback and course changes. That’s how you make practical use of the Law of Attraction.

That’s not being “Bright-Sided”, that’s being smart.

Finally, decades ago I had a landlord who made fun of me for reading success literature, such as positive thinking books.

I was struggling, broke and unknown at the time. I was paying him two hundred dollars a month to live in a dumpy little room in his house. I didn’t look like I was going anywhere in life.

He caught me reading a Norman Vincent Peale book (probably Enthusiasm Makes the Difference) and said, “You believe that shit?”

“I sure do,” I said.

While at the time he questioned me I had no evidence for any future success, and any critical thinking person could have dismissed me as a dreamer, today I’m wealthy and well known.

Was it because I read positive thinking books?

Was it because I chose to be “bright-sided” about life?

Was it because I took massive action and kept a positive expectancy about my future?

1. Surround yourself with successful and positive people. The influence people have over our own personal energy is amazing. Moods and attitudes are so easily spread – think about how much of a difference a simple smile from a stranger can make for your day and then magnify it 1000 times to demonstrate the power of positive and successful friends, family and associates. When you have people around you who inspire you, believe in you and want you to succeed, there’s no room for doubts and even when they creep up, they’re quickly swept away.

2. Create a mantra or an affirmation. Repeating positive affirmations has been shown to get people through tough times and to actually help them truly believe what they’re saying.

For example, “I am building a powerful and profitable business.” Many of the most esteemed business professionals have used the same affirmation strategy to attain their success. To find the right affirmations for you, consider writing a quick list of your doubts, insecurities and complaints. These can then be quickly turned into affirmations.

3. Capture negative thoughts. We all have negative thoughts from time to time, however, negative thoughts and emotions can derail us and prevent us from achieving all we desire. Of course catching those negative thoughts takes practice and persistence. When you find yourself thinking negative thoughts or having negative emotions, find a trigger to turn them around. The affirmations mentioned above are a great way to turn the negative into the positive.

4. Set goals/intentions and then be willing to let it go. The law of attraction says that we attract what we focus on the most. However, desperation, needing your business to be a success, sends mixed messages and a lot of negativity into the universe.

5. Be grateful. Gratitude is perhaps the single most powerful and positive tool for success. When you’re grateful for all of the wonderful things and people in your life the challenges you face seem significantly less important and are more easily dealt with.

Consider keeping a gratitude journal and make a practice of entering into it daily. That way, when you’re facing challenges a quick peek at all the amazing things in your life will make you feel as if you can tackle anything. Additionally, an attitude of gratitude helps you maintain a positive perspective and to face challenges as opportunities rather than obstacles.

Whether you are looking to tone up, lose weight, or just get heart healthy, exercise is a great way to do all of those. Don’t be a weekend warrior and injure yourself the first time out, make sure you ease into any new exercise routine to avoid short and long term injuries. Follow these simple rules:

1. Warm up. A proper warm-up should be part of every workout. But don’t waste time and energy with outdated warm-up routines — side bends and toe touches went out with headbands and short-shorts. Whether or not you’re still sweating to the oldies, stick to warm-ups that match the workout at hand. When in doubt, a dynamic warm-up to get a sweat going and prime the body for the real work that lies ahead.

2. Use perfect form. Who wants to keep making the same misstep when you can master the perfect form from day one? Ask for help. Don’t risk injuries by playing follow-the-leader with the biggest guy in the gym. Learn the dos and don’ts from the get-go. Talk to a trainer, get a fitness assessment, or consider investing a few training sessions to learn the ropes. Coaches have been shown to boost motivation, performance, and adherence to training routines.

3. For a fundamental movement like the squat, be sure to stand tall with the chest up, shoulders back and down, and the core engaged. And below the belt, keep a soft bend in the knees while shifting your weight into the heels. Keeping up good form all workout-long is the best way to protect against injury and make workouts more effective to boot.

4. Show and tell. At some point willpower can run out and send those healthy intentions off the rails. Don’t go it alone. Call in the reinforcements to boost motivation and encourage accountability. Try opening up to family and friends about your setbacks and successes. Or, consider starting a blog to get others involved in your get-fit journey. The more people enlisted in the support of the goal, the less likely you are to fail.

5. Compete. When workouts are a competition, winning means losing — weight that is. Whether it’s going head-to-head against an opponent or against our own personal best, research suggests we perform better when we compete. Go all out against the clock, perform as many push-ups as possible, or try to set a new one-rep max. Even if we set our sights too high, it never hurts to have a bigger goal in mind.

Tips On How To Teach Yoga Students On The First Day

There are many resources available that suggest how to teach yoga students. But if students don’t return for the second day, it’s all a waste of time. An instructor has just a couple of hours to convince their students that this will be a life-changing experience and that they are the person that can guide them there. Understanding this keeps classes full of curious and dedicated students.

Make a Connection

An instructor that can express how yoga has improved their life gets students interested. It doesn’t need to be a story of cancer survival. It could be that yoga helps concentration while in college. Perhaps it calmed anxieties around relationships. Or it even could have been a way to better health. A connection is made with the instructor when the students hear that yoga has the potential of helping them in their everyday lives.

Less Talk and More Doing

The classroom contains a variety of students. Different physical attributes, backgrounds, cultures and experience levels are present. Each student has different questions that will take the entire session to answer. They all share one thing – they are there to do yoga. After a short introduction, show them a breath or warm up technique and “hit the mats.”

Target the Beginners

When the class has multiple levels of experience, focus on the beginners. The experienced students know the limits of their bodies. They know how to match their breath with the pose. Help the beginning student master the basics. It will motivate others in the class to perfect their techniques.

Everyone Will Be Successful

When an instructor looks at the class with this thought, they work with the strength of each student. One student may be quick to pick up on a breath exercise. Another may adopt the Mountain pose perfectly the first time. Some students will succeed just by having tried all the exercises and made it to the end of the class. When each student feels that they have had a successful yoga session, they will be back.

Give Them Something to Take From the Class

Students with little motivation to think about yoga after the first class may not be back for the next one. Give them a simple Pranayama exercise such as abdominal breath or alternative nostril breath to do at home. Show them Child’s pose and have them do this every morning. Give them something to remind them of yoga each day before the next class. They will be back to see what else they can take away and use in their lives.

Perfection Comes from Practice

However well the students follow the exercises on the first day is perfect for them in that session. Don’t be concerned about perfect arm and leg positions. Don’t suggest that yoga is not really being done properly until they do attain perfect control of their bodies. Encourage the students to practice. Praise them for having a successful first class. Every student wants to hear “You did great today and you’ll do even better in the next class.”

Be the Student

Learning how to teach yoga students is something an instructor continues doing throughout their career. Each student provides different challenges. Each student learns differently. The instructor who recognizes this is flexible, adaptable and always asking themselves how they can improve their teaching skills.
